NSW Home Saver Rebates

The $170 million NSW Home Saver Rebates program has ended, as scheduled on 30 June 2011.  NSW households were eligible for a rebate past this date if they had purchased and installed eligible items on or before 30 June 2011 and the completed application form is received by the Office of Environment and Heritage by 30 September 2011.  No further applications are eligible for a rebate under the State Government scheme.


The local Rous Water Rainwater Tank Rebate Program is part of the long-term demand management strategy is available to all existing residential town water customers in the Rous region (including properties that are currently connected to the town water supply in Casino) who wish to reduce their consumption of town water by installing a rainwater tank. Tanks purchased between 1 July 2010 and 30 June 2011 are eligible for the following rebates:

Rebate Level Tank volume (Litres) Rebate
1 2,000 - 4,499 $100
2 4,500 - 8.999 $400
3 9,000 or more $500
Optional 1 Plus $120 if all toilets connected
Optional 2 Plus $50 if washing machine connected

Tanks purchased between 1 July 2011 and 30 June 2012 are eligible for the following rebates:

2 4,500 - 8.999 $400
3 9,000 or more $500
Optional 1 Plus $500 if all toilets connected
