October is Mental Health Month

Saturday 21 October Bentley Public Hall, 835 Manifold Rd

October’s Mental Health Month!

Come and join us on Saturday 21 October for the Misery Loves Company event, which will be held at the Bentley Public Hall, with the theme of 'Sharing the Darkness to Lighten the Load'.

This free event has been funded by WayAhead - Mental Health Association NSW, auspiced by Northern Rivers Care Connections, and sponsored by Richmond Valley Council, Ability Links and the Northern Rivers Suicide Prevention and Awareness Group.

Thanks to the support of the CWA Kyogle Evening Branch, who will be service dinner and dessert.

As well as food, there will be music by Watling & Bates, with Watling bringing out her 'moodier' songs that hark back to the times when her own Black Dog called the shots.

Rose Hogan from Standby Response will be the guest speaker and professional counsellors will be around in case anyone would like to talk.

An Art Exhibiton will feature works in accordance with the theme, and we hereby invite artists to express their interest in submitting works for the show. Simply jump onto the event page or email me at tamar.cohen@socialfutures.org.au if you would like to display your work on the night.

As the pantry is limited, we ask that people book for dinner and dessert on 0447 329 111. If you would like to bring a plate and a chair you won't need to book, just turn up!

We look forward to an evening of sharing the human condition, and cake!
