Farming in a Changing Climate Workshop

NSW Department of Primary Industries Farming in a changing Climate Workshop is now open for registration.  The workshop will cover items such as

  • Local climate trends and carbon schemes.
  • Strategies to limit the impacts of seasonal extremes.
  • Methods to sequester and build carbon
  • Build a property plan to reduce the impacts of variable seasons and to optimise long term production.
  • Learn what you can do to improve soil moisture storage, infiltration, root depth and reduce evaporation losses.
  • Adjust pastures to long term land capability.
  • No charge or obligation for the first session.
  • Soil test, carbon benchmarking independent interpretation, equipment, resources, & 3 days training over 6 weeks.

Starts: Kyogle Octocber 7th

Course costs, meals and childcare can be reimbursed to primary producers by the national "Farmready" program.
