NSW Department of Primary Industries Farming in a changing Climate Workshop is now open for registration. The workshop will cover items such as
- Local climate trends and carbon schemes.
- Strategies to limit the impacts of seasonal extremes.
- Methods to sequester and build carbon
- Build a property plan to reduce the impacts of variable seasons and to optimise long term production.
- Learn what you can do to improve soil moisture storage, infiltration, root depth and reduce evaporation losses.
- Adjust pastures to long term land capability.
- No charge or obligation for the first session.
- Soil test, carbon benchmarking independent interpretation, equipment, resources, & 3 days training over 6 weeks.
Starts: Kyogle Octocber 7th
Course costs, meals and childcare can be reimbursed to primary producers by the national "Farmready" program.
