Local Heritage Grants Scheme

Richmond Valley Council is a participant in the NSW Heritage Branch Heritage Incentives Scheme. The Scheme involves offering, on an annual basis, heritage grants for repairs, maintenance and/or the re-instatement of missing components, for listed heritage items located within the Richmond Valley Local Government Area.

The Local Heritage Grants Scheme (also known as the Local Heritage Assistance Fund) offers grants on a dollar-for-dollar basis to a maximum of $2,000, although more may be available for significant projects. The total grant pool available is about $16,400 for each year.

The Scheme generally opens for applications in March/April each year (see below for further details).
