Work begins on Casino’s new $1 million amphitheatre

Locals and tourists visiting Casino will soon have a space to gather on the banks of the Richmond River for community events like Carols by Candlelight and Movies Under the Stars, according to Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan.

The amphitheatre will be tiered and have a stage area with pull down screens. It will sit perfectly alongside the $2 million Casino Drill Hall project which will include a new visitor information centre and viewing platforms extending over the river.

The Casino Drill Hall and amphitheatre project would not have been possible without the collaboration of a number of Council departments, and by forming strong partnerships with community groups and government agencies.

Council would like to thank Kevin Hogan and the Federal Government for investing in this important project, which will deliver a valuable community asset for all to enjoy.
