Crawford Square, Casino

Richmond Valley Council is seeking community input on the best way the Crawford Square Park in Casino could be redeveloped.

A draft plan of upgrades for the site is now on public display following Council’s decision to endorse the draft master plan at its September meeting.

The draft plan has been created using information provided by Council officer’s knowledge and experience of the facility, combined with historical feedback from Council customer requests. It is proposed Crawford Square be developed into a multi-use facility, catering for recreation, both passive and active in a variety of zones across the park. The proposal is to cater for all ages and abilities including the introduction of a water play space being a distinct feature to the region. Information will be compiled throughout the consultation period and a more detailed draft proposal will be submitted to Council for adoption as an approved master plan.

The draft master plan will be used to support grant applications for the proposed works.

We invite public comment on the draft master plan, which can be viewed at Council’s offices in Casino and Evans Head, or downloaded from this page. If you would like to make a submission, address it to the General Manager, Richmond Valley Council, Locked Bag 10, Casino NSW 2470 or email

You can also make a submission via our online form at

Written and online submissions will be accepted by Council until 4.30pm Wednesday 24 October. Further information is available from Council on 6660 0300.
