The Richmond-Upper Clarence Regional Library incorporates and provides services for the community of the Richmond Valley Council and Kyogle Council. The region covers an area of 9824 square kilometres and has a bookstock of 55,000 items.
Casino Library is the central library for the Richmond-Upper Clarence Regional Library. The library, its branches and the mobile library are financed by Richmond Valley Council, Kyogle Council and State Government subsidies.
Geographically, this region is located in the North Coast of New South Wales known as the Valley of Surprises. Casino and surrounds is renowned as the Beef Capital of Australia. Richmond Valley Council boasts some of the coastline's best beaches, while the Kyogle region is referred to as the Gateway to Rainforests and includes national parks of World Heritage listing.
