Richmond Valley Council was formed by the amalgamation of 3 (or parts thereof) former Local Government Areas. As a result the Council area inherited 3 separate planning schemes that continue to operate within their respective former council areas.

New Comprehensive LEP and supporting documents

Council is currently producing a comprehensive planning scheme for the entire Richmond Valley area. This new scheme will be based upon the Standard LEP Template as notified by the Department of Planning. The Plan has an expected completion date in 2010.

 


 

 

Proposed Amendment to 2007/2008 Revenue Policy

Council wishes to amend the  Developer Contribution fees payable for the provision of  car parking spaces not provided in retail/commercial areas of  Evans Head, from $13,570.00 per space to $25,500 per space. The increase is due to increase costs in car park construciton and land acquisition costs.
